Great news everyone! The football season has officially started once again, and it did so in a good way. The Hall of Fame weekend brought in an emotional day on Saturday as they inducted a few great NFL players and contributors, and on Sunday, we finally got to see some action.
On Saturday, eight NFL greats were inducted into the Hall of Fame, giving them a place in history: linebacker Junior Seau, defensive end Charles Haley, receiver Tim Brown, running back Jerome Bettis, guard Will Shields, center Mick Tingelhoff, and general managers Bill Polian and Ron Wolf.
After the heartfelt ceremony, the first game of the season was played between the Vikings and Steelers, where it was an impressive display of defense on both teams, but the Vikings ultimately were able to squeek by with two touchdowns. This left the final score 14-3, as the coaches look forward to plugging any gaps they may have.
Even though the preseason has started, training camps will continue as usual, as the players and teams continue to get ready for the regular football season that starts in September. For now, enjoy the fact that the season has finally begun!
